Competition Logistics

Welcome to Nashville!

The 2012 Competition weekend will be a busy one in Nashville.  We ask that you be aware of your surroundings as you enjoy our city, and that you also allow ample time to travel to all destinations.

If you plan on staying an extra night, please visit Vanderbilt University’s Nashville information website for ideas on what to do. We will also include a guide to Nashville in your welcome packets, and as always, the Owen Leadership team and Ambassadors are happy to give you tips on local hotspots.

All teams are responsible for their own travel arrangements.

Hotel:

A block of rooms will be reserved at a hotel within walking distance for Case Competition participants. Further information will be provided as the competition date nears.

Air:

Nashville International Airport (BNA) is the closest airport.
Most major air carriers fly into BNA (AA, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Northwest, Southwest, United, US Air).

Ground Transportation:

Transportation to/from the airport: The meter rate for a taxi from the airport to the Vanderbilt area ranges from $20-25.

  • Gray Line Airport Express. You can make a reservation online or, after arriving at the airport, book your ride at the Gray Line counter to the left of the exit door in the baggage claim/ground transportation area (you do not have to make a reservation in advance).
  • Most major rental car companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, and National, are convenient to the Nashville airport.  Please note: The hotel may have a parking fee.
